About The Owner

Reshae and Wess's

Reshae and Wess's journey with Special Strong began with a deep commitment to their youngest son, Ty. As they sought opportunities for Ty to build friendships and engage in physical activities, they discovered Special Strong through posts by friends from the Down Syndrome Association of Houston. Recognizing the significant benefit Special Strong could offer Ty, they began searching for nearby locations. When they found none, they considered the distance they would be willing to travel to provide Ty with this valuable experience.

Upon learning about the franchise opportunity, Reshae and Wess realized they could bring Special Strong to not just their family but to the broader

Northeast Texas Region. This opportunity allowed them to expand the reach of Special Strong and offer its specialized adaptive fitness programs to families and individuals across the area. Special Strong is dedicated to designing programs for people facing cognitive, mental, and physical challenges, helping them lead more abundant lives. Their nationally certified and compassionate staff serve individuals with Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Williams Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, amputations, genetic anomalies, stroke recovery, and many other conditions.

Outside of their work with Special Strong, Reshae and Wess enjoy life with their three daughters, two sons, three sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. They also operate a Bed & Breakfast/Retreat Center in Van Zandt County.

About Us

The Special Strong Story

By the age of 21, Daniel Stein had been diagnosed with a learning disability, mood disorder and autoimmune disease. After successfully using exercise to overcome his unique challenges, he felt called upon to help others with disabilities obtain healthier, happier, and higher functioning lives. Daniel obtained certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), the National Federation of Personal Trainers (NFPT), and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

In 2016, Daniel and his wife, Trinity, launched Special Strong, one of the only fitness centers in the country for individuals with mental, physical, and cognitive challenges. Today, Special Strong continues to specialize in adaptive and inclusive fitness training and is making a difference in the lives of children, adolescents and adults all over the world.
